Go with a Web Cam 86b and 1.3 to 1 ratio rocker arms and at least a 9.0 to 1 compression ratio. The 86b is a great all-aound street performance camshaft; also, use WEb Cam's dual valve springs.

Aircooled.net has high performance aluminum pushrods that will work well and eliminate the valve train noise associated with chrome-moly PR's.
Damn,

Maybe time to break the 1914 down for a cam swap, can't really argue with genius.

Would it still be OK to use the 1.4:1 with the chromoly push rods? I've been running them at zero lash to good effect, no problems at all, and at zero the engine is very quiet for a chromoly equipped motor . . .

I know that the rocker/pushrod/cam set-ups seem to all go together as a unit and work best that way. I have a set of 1.25:1 rockers AND a spare set of aluminum pushrods as well. My heads are also MAG 44's cut for dual springs.

Now I need info as well . . . just when you think that you're out if it, they PULL you back in . . .

Damn,

TC
Thanks Ron,

Since posting, I've been checking around and it seems that a LOT of builders use the Web cams over the Engle FK series. I just read that AJ Sims also recommends them for his Kad equipped engines. I'm definitely going to put one in over the Winter, keep the FK8 in the 1835 but switch out the 1914 to the Web, take things to the next level.
If you plot out both cams, Engle FK-8 and the Web 86b you will find that they are nearly identicle grinds. The big difference is the qaulity of the work. Web is a much better cam as far as workmanship. If you want the best, use the CB #2288. This cam is a clone to the 86b but even better qaulity. In my opinion any way!
