I did a search on camber compensators and sway bars and I understand what they do. I didn't find anything that said if a compensator will affect the ride height. The car sits good the way it is and I don't want to raise its butt up even a 1/4".I also don't want a real stiff ride. I just want it to handle a little better on curvy roads.
I noticed there are two types of comensators. One by Sway-A-Way and one by C B Performance.Does anyone have any recommendations or preference to one or the other?
If I remember right, Eddie Janis said the C B Performance compensator acted like a overload springs I believe he didn't use that one. But he didn't say which one he used.I'm also going to add a sway bar up front. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for rambling on. I hope I didn't start a whole new war.

Recardo & Troy, I added both the camber compensator and the front sway bar............what a difference. The car now handles like a go-cart. I took it for a ride after adding the camber compensator and it handled much better than without it. Then I added the sway bar up front and now it handles like a race car.
That is great guys! I installed it and took it for a ride a while ago and have to report that it feels much firmer in the back; now it doesn't bounce that much in the back while going over speed bumps and the like. When cornering the car feels tighter and nailed to the road and..is it my imagination or does the car look lower in the back now? I know it shouldn't affect the ride height....maybe it's my imagination.
Recardo, I've had the camber compensator on mine for about a month and have only driven it three or four times for short drives, just testing things. two days ago my wife and I took it for a much longer ride and I have to agree with you the rear is now lower than before.
I like the way it sits now, I hope it doesn't change.
I think the camber compensator has changed the camber so the top of the wheel (tire) is more toward the center of the car which alows the rear of the car to squawt a little. I know this has happened because when I canged my tires to 195x60's I could just barley get my little finger between the tire and the fender well on the passenger side. Now I can get all my fingers between it.
Maybe my fingers are just getting smaller. All I know is I like it the way it is.
