Yeah, we see what's going on, Sally's painting the shed again by herself.
Backyard camouflage. You'll look out back and wonder where the shed went. You won't see anything but blue sky and billowy soft clouds.
Keep watching Robert.....

Very tricky! And I was going to comment on how Sally was holding the brush like a club in pic 2...
I see it now.

The first thing I thought was "that paint can platform would never hold me"
Can't wait to see the finished product. Wonder what . . .

Troy and his palm trees. I guess they had to go on the sides of the road since we can't see the rear license plate frame!!
Looking real good so far.
I like that the handle is in the right place.
I didn't know that Sally was an artist. Wow! Good looks and talent...she's a keeper, Troy.
The only problem I see here is that Sally is going to have to change the color of the speedster quite often...

We debated about that, because it meant that the car would not be centered. Sally decided to just put some palm trees over there and I think it looks great.

Sally didn't know she could paint either until she went to a wine and paint event with some friends last August. Since then she's done some pretty stunning work. I think she's a savant!
Very cool. Looking forward to final result.
...if I could borrow her skilz for a month. Very nize.

Borrow? What's the project, I'll give you a quote.

Shut up Robert. As a law enforcement officer you know that front plates are required on ALL cars in California, so maybe I'll just have her paint one in... WITH a palm tree frame.

DO NOT put a front plate on that car. It'll ruin the aesthetic. You can have her paint a torn up fix-it ticket laying on the ground next to the car.
There's an idea!
Or...
Mount a real, but expired plate on the door, cut if necessary.

No plate, but using an actual Porsche script for the front and considering actual horn grills and signals, but that might be too much bling. We'll see.
Some fun, for those without enough to do . . .
I love it.
That is really cool! Probably if you going to have the Palms you might want to add some Mendocino green plants as well. Just to be authentic to the true CA spirit.
Looking great. Can't wait to see it finished
Is it me, or does it only have 1 front tire?
PS- it's looking great! (it just needs another, you know, front tire...)

At the moment it only has one front tire. You just need to be patient.
Troy, this is so cool to watch the evolution of a great painting. Now it's ready for street side viewing from your driveway.
Sally is definitely taking 'cool' to a whole 'nutha level!
I need to know what to say when people ask if this is a painting of a replica or real Speedster?
What do you usually tell folks? Rather than get into a big conversation I usually just affirm what ever they think unless they use the "kit"' word. Do you have folks stop by your house? Maybe you should remove your gas pumps.
"This is a real painting of an authentic replica Speedster. The trees are not replica but depictions of real trees. Now get out of my yard!"
I just had a guy I passed on the road turn around and follow me to my house to see the Speedster. Not fond of that, but the guy wanted to show his eight year old son the car. Nice guy, nice kid, turns out to be the son of a neighbor. Little guy got a lesson on cars and wants to buy mine. Precocious but cool kid.

Troy, tell them the paint is real.
