Good news, SOC Morro Bay participants!!!

I just received a call from HENRY REISNER of INTERMECCANICA in Vancouver, BC. He has accepted my invitation to attend our gathering and is driving down with three of his pals from Canada. They will be driving his marvelous cars and will be with us all three days. Henry says he will be more than glad to talk about his cars but wants to spend time just visiting and driving with us on the marvelous roads around Morro Bay.

This will be about 1600 miles - one way - for them. I guess this puts him in the mileage catagory with Cal and Carol from Oklahoma. Sharon and I are about to feel like our piddly 1250 miles is almost next door to you California folks by comparison with these hard core devotees.

We are down to three weeks... now is the time to prepare your BROWN BAG gifts. Remember, you can bring one per car or one per person, you choice.

Happy Trails,
Dusty and the Lovely Miss Sharon

Vince, Henry is cool people, period! You'll understand after you talk to him for a while. My favorite moment of Carlisle was last year. Lenny C, me, Henry, and Carey Hines chatting late at night over a couple, well, way more than a couple of beers. If you make it to Carlisle, plan on some late nights!
One of my favorite memories was riding to dinner with him on Saturday night. It was drizzling (turned into serious rain) so me and one other (who my fogged brain forgets) rode with Henry in his rental Kia that we dubbed the "replica Toyota". We got into quite a conversation about how good a replica it was as it even sounded like metal when you tapped on the bodywork. I think Henry was my beer drinking buddy both Thursday and Saturday night. He's good people, y'all, but I refuse to genuflect. If I did, I'd fall over.
