Can't find part

I am looking for the clips that hold the parking brake cables to the trailing arms.

I can't find the ones I had around here somewhere and I can't find replacements to buy.

Of course, if I do buy replacements the original clips will turn up.

Does anyone know a source?

Check the local auto parts store .

To clarify, it is a plastic clip that plugs into a hole near the lower shock mount and it holds the parking brake cable a few inches away from where it enters the backing plate.

My pan is a 1972.

I can't remember in which thread Alan mentioned Bughouse.

I still need a little help getting pointed toward Bug House.

Having dealt with Jack at Bug-stuff for over 15 years, I can't say enough positive things about his VW Business other than he is knowledgeable, fair priced and ships UPS same day.
They have most brand name stock and aftermarket - performance parts in stock as well as tons of good used parts. He also supplies many of the left coast aftermarket guys with sand rail chassis's and dune buggy bodies that are fabricated in house. ~ Alan

Thanks for the offer.

I still expect to be at Carlisle even though I have given up hope to have my Speedster finished in time.

The other part I had around here but couldn't find is the rubber drain plug that goes in the hole in the bottom of the tunnel at the rear.

It is not available from the usual sources. I found them on a site that sells Thing parts. I don't know why, but Things have two.

I had to buy a pair. I'll bring the extra one to Carlisle in case someone else needs one.
