Car cover

I need a cover for my VS Speedster. Have found none really built to fit. Any suggestions? jkl

A frequently asked question. Try California Car Cover for a great fit and a good quality product. Also, do a search on the forum for other opinions.

California Car Covers are the only ones. Great folks and great great warranty. Put mine on when the engine was still hot and the tail pipes burned the cover. I called them and they said no problem just send it back we will fix it and install a heat shield. I got it back in just over a week and that was just before christmas. Two year warranty covers things like this. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Believe it or not, I went to PEP Boys and ordered a custom cover for a 356 / it fit like a glove - reasonable to!

I bought one from vintage and it fits perfectly and is really heavy duty. Maybe check with Kirk.

I'm too cheap to buy a custom cover.

Got this one at Home Depot (and it looks it!)

(at least I can find my car in a Carlisle Hotel parking lot full of other Speedsters!!)

I am really happy with the one I just got as a birthday present from my wife. It is the best copy of the Porsche original I have seen but at a fraction of its cost, and it is even soft padded in the inside.

Where can we find this and price?

Alan, it has been done by a local upholsterer here in Barcelona-Spain. He has had my car for a week or so to measure and stuff so it would fit perfectly. Now he has got the pattern so I guess he could do many more. It has costed 200 euros which is kind of a lot, but far less than the 750 euros a new Porsche car cover costs over here.

If anyone is interested I wouldn't mind asking in the post office how much it would cost to send it over. By the way he told me he could do them in blue, red or gray but I chose blue as it is the color for the original Porsche. Next year I might ask for a red one for my Miata...
