What are owners using as a cover--layers, material etc?

Looking at a 9 layer (http://www.ebay.com/itm/181590...p;fromMakeTrack=true).

Looking for one that when on trips can cover with confidence in all types of weather.

I have the org cotton cover that came with the 56 CMC but only use it for dust coverage.

Be aware of that company's product.  They are waterproof vinyl lined with whisper thin cotton. They are Sm, Med, Lg sized and are not fit to specific cars.  I bought one sized for for a Volvo wagon and it was 2 feet too long and 1 foot too narrow.  They offered an exchange for a smaller size if I would pay to return it.

WOW!

You got a Cotton cover with your CMC?

They must have run out of the good (and cheap) cotton covers by the time I bought my CMC body - all I got was a cover made out of blue parachute material.  Pretty, tough and scrunches down to fit in a bag about the size of a loaf of bread, but in rain it's like it's not even there........

Thanks to the Carlisle SOC raffle I got a really decent, all weather cover that works well and rolls up to the size of a small cooler.  I can live with that.

Many people on here got their covers from California Car Cover - they have one that fits a Speedster.

Thanks Gordon and Rusty. Not sure of the history of this CMC--purchased from a widow. Last plated 2008 but was told it was only run once that year and very little due to her husband's health for a few years before that (currently 15,230 miles on original vintage white faced gauges). They did started it monthly but it has mostly sat for some time-tires dry rotted, suspension squat in rear (and the butt drag because of rivets). My first Speedster after letting go of a 69 Ghia coupe and 68 Ghia Vert-both went overseas. Have always wanted a 356 Vert so now time to read-read-and wrench. Later, David
