I will be taking delivery on a unit from Specialty Autoworks in the next couple of months. What are the recommendations for an outdoor car cover?

I recommend... A Garage!
I dont' stray too far from my Speedster when I have it out. But when I do cover it I use one of those $20.00 Pepboys Generic covers. It's a little too big, water resistant and keeps the dust and bird droppings off, and it doesn't draw attention.
Reminds me of Harley Riders that park their bikes on road trips and cover them at night with Orange and Black covers with "HARLEY-DAVIDSON" in Huge block letters. Sort of Advertises the fact that this bike will probably be available here all night long... and It's just what thiefs may be looking for... A Harley. Makes more sense to have a cover that says Honda or Nothing at all. Ususally on trips, my Harley roughs it, just like I do. Except it gets Cables and Chains locked around a tree or a pole then to another Harley when It has to stay out. I've parked it in my hotel room on occasion. That works too!

Definately California Car Covers. I've bought one for the spyder, one for the cab and a third for the targa.

First, you might need to take a couple of Prozac or Quaaludes to handle the anticipation of your car's arrival! But when you finally have your Speedy in your possession, post a lot of pics of your new pride-and-joy!
P.S. - You can't go wrong with a cover from California Car Covers.

Ed; love your username...Habanero, mi sangre!! Definitely sounds very Cuban. Anyway as the others have said California Car Covers definitely have their act together but you'll have to wait a while. If in a hurry hit Ebay under Porsche 356 car covers and you'll find lots of choices ranging in price from very inexpensive up to almost ridiculous. As per my experience if buying on Ebay get something waterproof (even if the car is stored inside) and with a reasonable price that reflects the quality you want. I say this because two years ago I bought a real inexpensive one (not waterproof because my car is stored inside) and it only lasted almost two years before it started to literally disintegrate. Recently I got a sturdier, waterproof one in the $70 something dollar range to replace the other one and so far so good.
