I am in the market for a car cover. I currently have what is considered to be a "dust cover"(indoor use only). Since we take trips that frequently are overnighters, the car is outside in the elements. I would like to know what covers you are using,in particular if anyone has a "speedster specific fitted cover" that does NOT touch the ground( enough ground clearance to keep cover at least 2-3 inches from touching). My cover has a tendency to wick moisture if it is touching. I need a cover that is 100% waterproof with a soft fleece or cotton lining. Recommendations, please.

I don't have an outdoor cover but I did find this company and it looks like you can order a Speedster Specific cover. Just under $200.00.
I purchased a Noah California Car Cover and it fits great even with the top up or down. Carey Hines suggested ordering a 1956 model year without the mirror pockets and it sis a few inches above the ground.

Here's what I have used the past two years:

This will run you about $400 bucks but worth every penny!
+1 for Noah car covers.
Used one for my bmw for years and you can also "lock" it on as it has (2) middle eyelets that you can attache a cable thru.
I put a bungee cord on it to keep it taught thru storms and what not.
It's thick enough to withstand impact of small debris and is cinched by elastic around the front/rear for better fit
+2 for NOAH. It's durable, soft, and weather resistant. It does, however, leave a bit of residue on a car if both are not perfectly clean.
CA Car Covers seems to be the most popular. I have one and it works great, inside or out. They make them especially for the Speedster. One thing to note about covers in general, unless you already know and understand: Even the best and thickest are NOT waterproof. They are made to allow the condensation that will accumulate under them, depending on variations in temperature and humidity, to evaporate and not linger against the finish. Ergo, they will allow rain to seep through after a while. So the car will get wet under the cover during a good rain, and when the rain stops and the weather improves the water will escape eventually. If you need to get on the road after the storm, you will be storing a wet cover, so think about that. That said, with the top up and the side curtains in place AND a cover on, the amount of water that will get in to the car will be greatly minimized.
I have Ca. Car Cover with Weathershield fabric. It really sheds the water. I can shake the water off after a rain.
It is made to fit a Speedster. You can specify the mirror locations if you want mirror pockets.
Just ordered my Noah cover this morning. Thanks for all the help on this thread!
