Just an FYI that Costco.com has Coverking custom fitted car covers on sale at a $60 savings. Regular $149.99 on sale at $89.99 and that includes shipping. Thats as good as I've seen for a custom fit. The sale is from 11/1-11/30. It is for the Quiksilver Plus fabric.

Seems like a good deal, and they do list the Speedster w/2 mirrors as an option, BUT how do they know where the windows are mounted? Does anyone here have one of these, and how was the fit, also how waterproof are they?

We are looking for a new place to rent and there's a chance I might have to park the Speedster outdoors.
Bruce,
The tabs are supposed to be supplied by DMV if you legitimately assign a 1956 plate to your car, or I have heard that some plate vendors at the Pomona Swap Meet also have them. I got mine years ago with a resto project that never got finished. Sold the car, kept the tabs. I recently registered a car with a legit set of the yellow/black plates and should get my new registration and tabs from DMV but as of yet have not received them.
I think you will either have to call the manufacturer and ask them to make it wider, or maybe buy the more expensive ($300) stretchy cover direct from Coverking.

Does anyone own a Coverking cover? The only photo of a custom cover I could find on a Speedster was a different brand and had the mirrors mounted on the door.
