Caravans to Speedsters Meet Spyders at Carlisle 2010

The purpose of this thread is to help people organize caravans of cars coming to Carlisle. Whether you

First of the SE caravan checking in. I'm planning to leave home on Wednesday, May 19th, on the first leg and hope to meet up with others in Christiansburg, Va for an overnight. Whoever is part of this group will depart for Carlisle the following morning and meet up, as we have in the past, with others at the Shoney's in Hagerstown, MD, for lunch. Afterwards, this group will soldier on the last hour or so to Carlisle for the begininng of the festivities.

Who's in?

MD folks (Cory, BERT, me + right-seater, w/ MUSB and Ginny in tow), plan to head out Thursday, and, as has been done in the past, hook up w/ the SE folks near I70 and I81 for lunch, then skip on in to Carlisle. Any others in B'more/DC area planning to come are welcome to tie in as they might like, of course.

Kelly, there's a possibility that Heidi and I will be leaving DC area on Thursday AM rather than Ma. We have planned an early start to our vacation and will be visiting family. It would be cool to hook up with y'all along the way. We'll check in as the time nears, our plans are not final yet.

I will be driving from Richmond VA to Carlisle on Friday in a daily driver. We might not arrive until late.

I will be headed up I-26 to Columbia, then onto I-77 through Charlotte up to I-81 in VA, ending up with the Christiansburg crowd for Thursday night. Anyone coming up through SC or NC along that path is more than welcome to join up with me along the way.

I tried that last year Lane.......Missed it by a good hour and a half.....Maybe this year....Anyway, see you in Christiansberg...

let me see if I have this right. I thought you guys gather in Chr'g Wed evening, then join the "Early Birds" in Chambersburg (Shoney's) for lunch Thurs and then head into Carlisle. Is that the REAL plan?

Lane, Between us we might have half a brain, and might get it right. The Shoneys IS near I81 and I70, and that is near Haggerstown. And we will be there for lunch Thurs. Any mistakes so far??

Lenny and I should be caravaning down I-84 to I-81 on Thursday afternoon. New York to PA. Lenny is coming from middle CT. Hopefully I will be driving this year rather than flat-towing.
