Carbon Canyon Quickie?

Anyone up for a quick run thru Carbon Canyon this Saturday for breakfast/brunch/lunch at Flo's?

Hi Robert,
I don't have any specific time in mind. We can do a morning run, lunch run or afternoon run. I just thought it could be a fun short run to get out and enjoy the warm weather. We haven't done this run in a while so I just thought I'd put it back out there!

Sounds good but can do only anytime after 830am. Brunch/lunch whatever!

I'm in for Carbon Canyon this Saturday! Where should we meet and what time (I'm good for whatever works)? WoooooHooooo!

Since we may end up at Flo's, we could meet off the 57 and Lambert and head North bound to Carbon Canyon. Just a thought.

Wish I could make it but I've got little league and soccer coaching duty starting at 7:30, you know how it goes. Jim bring it back with a full tank!

We typically meet at the Fire Station on the corner of Lambert and Kraemer. Here is the address Jim provided in a previous post:

Fire Station #3, 400 N. Kraemer, Brea (Thomas Guide/Orange County, Page 709-E6). Exit 57 Fwy on Lambert Ave (Brea) head east 1.5 miles to Lambert/Kraemer intersection

How does meeting at about 9:00am sound? That will get us to Flo's before 10:00am. If you guys are up to it, I know a cool old red barn about 1/2 mile from Flo's where we can take a group picture afterwards.

Hey Guys,

Just talked to my friend John Marconi. He has quite a car collection and is having an open garage party this Saturday after the canyon run at noon. Anybody that wants to join me after the cruise at his house is welcome. If you are a Mopar or Ferrari fan, you don't want to miss this.
You can follow me over after the cruise to his house in Yorba Linda.

I am SOOOOO there!! I'm anxious to see the Ferrari 246 Dino he's restoring! WooooHoooooo

Robert,I can't make the Carbon Canyon run but wouldn't mind catching up with you guys at John Marconi's. I think he may live near me. Does he happen to live off of Highland Ave. in Yorba Linda? I know a Marconi lives there,quite a few Mopar cars in the garage,just not sure if it's the right one.

Even got Dylan one from Encinandia, Mx. see you in the street for the take-off line-up pix... off Kraemer just north of Lambert. I figure we meet 2-16-08 at 9:00 and take-off by 9:30 yes?

Thanks for the phone number Robert. I'll give a call after 12:00 or so and see where you guys are. If this is the right Marconi,I can practically see his house from my backyard. I see him driving his cars fairly often. I'm the guy who stops to watch him drive by and then waits for the smell of the racing fuel to get to me. My wife thinks I'm crazy and there is every possibility she's right.

Vinny come on out to the inland part of the SOC.. LOL.. I'd love to see that sweet Ghia... if you need directions or info. just call 323 553-5505 cell. Your quickest route is the 91 east to 57 north exit Lambert east (right) then about 2 miles to Kreamer, turn left and you'll see the speedies in the middle of the street

SoCal in February.....
After a cool morning run through Carbon Canyon and breakfast at the Chino Airport.
A P51 and Long Easy were in the pattern when we stopped to take a this picture.
Then on to the Marconi spread. Others will have pics. It was over the top!

Ginny & I had a great time this morning cruising with the SoCal SOC'ers on a beautiful day. Here are a few pics from our adventures...

Sorry Candace and I couldn't make the early breakfast run but it was fun hooking up later at the Marconi property and seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones. Robert, please thank the Marconi family for having us and opening up their garage. It was certainly an impressive collection. The Bugatti showing up was just icing on the cake.

Just a note here.. what a blast guys and gals... today we saw some sweet looking rides and a great morning drive.. Bob my thanks to you and John for allowing us the time to visit and ask some stupid questions too. LOL.. I'll post some of the pix soon too.

Sorry I couldn't make it this weekend, I did manage to get the ghia out and it is running fine...I just can't dedicate 3/4 of a day to riding right now.....

Awesome run!!!!!! I sure wish I could have joined you for breakfast and your hook up at Marconi's place. It was lonely coming back through the canyon without a whole bunch of other speedsters. Looks like you guys had a good time.
