Ok, guys, we Speedster owners are challenging y'all to have more than one (Danny Piperato) representative at Carlisle next May. Alan Merklin has reserved a block of rooms at the Ramada Limited Carlisle at a special rate of $119.95 per night for Friday and Saturday. Make a reservation ASAP before they're all gone. We'd love to see more Spyders. Leon Chupp, are you out there? I'm holding slot in the southeast caravan for you. C'mon, ya know ya wanna come. It's quite possibly the most fun car-centered weekend you can have.

Go to SpeedsterOwners and go into the Events forum. Look for "Carlisle 08 Hotel reservations".

V., If you decide to come, you can join me on I-40 in E. TN. for the drive to VA and the overnight stop. At that point, we should have a bunch of us Speedster guys joining together for the run to PA. I know, I know, we're only SPEEDSTER folks, but the more the merrier. Leon, you'll be there in your Spyder too, right?

Well, Spydie sure is running really nicely lately. Can you tell me the route so I can look at it and see what's in store for me, please? I need to get my speedo fixed. And my passenger-side wiper blade is acting funny after it froze on the car one day. I have another question about the speedo I'll place on another thread. v v
The route couldn't be easier. Take I-40 E until you run into I-81 and then follow I-81 all the way to Carlisle. A group of us will be spending the night in Christiansburg, VA. on Wednesday and heading north to Carlisle Thursday A.M. We will probably divert and do a stretch on the Blue Ridge Parkway which is slow but scenic. Our arrival in Carlisle will probably be mid-afternoon Thursday, allowing enough time to get settled, greet many of the arrivals and then head off to the dinner location.

A good time will be had by all. Count on it.

ps. Depending on your timetable, we could meet at the Loudon exit off of I-40 and caravan from there. There may be another car or two as well at that location.
Oh, boy, does this sound fun! If I can get Dave to follow me just in case something works loose (on the car), that would help my decision to show up. There is a possibility that I'll have to have a cage installed around my lumbar spine around that time, but the surgeon said recovery time isn't all that long. I haven't told him what kind of car I drive every day, however. I've been keeping that a secret. :-)
