After consulting with ECB about what to do for this year, we have decided that long-sleeved tee-shirts are gonna be the thing.

I've been working on the design for a while now, and this is a really, really rough rendering (MS Paint meets phone camera) from the acual drawings. The shirts will be dark blue, and the lines will remain white.

Figure on this being the back of the shirt, and a similarly blueprint-inspired drafting of the Speedsters Meet Spyders logo from last year on the left front.

We have Speedsters, Spyders, coupes and cabriolets covered.

Here's how the line drawings look:

Not taking orders yet. Just wanted to show you guys the progress ... and maybe give y'all something to look forward to. :)

Actually, Theresa is the Stig. Think about it, she is a great driver, and there's always those unexplained hiatus where she is allegedly working out of town but we all know she is really making a hop across the pond to put the spank on the Top Gear rides.

You know what would look cool, Cory? If you could run a tire track down each sleeve or as a stripe across the chest/back.

I like that idea also, but what we've got here is what we're going to have. The art is already in finished form, 'bout ready to be mailed to Newburyport, Mass., for the professional touches and screen prep.
Trying to not have to bother our friends in the biz this year (for sponsorship) either, which we should be able to do with simple, single-color line art. It'll still be a professional-looking shirt, I think.
I may be exploring options for advance orders again -- just like last year -- or maybe a Cafe Press kind of thing (where folks can order their own).
I've never done that before, but I'll keep our options open. I think being able to give the screen printer a check before the show is best, and folks picking them up at the show is always fun.
Is the orange for me?

I took the following advice:
a. rebuilt the front end - what an improvement
b. bought a bow from Vintage - what an improvement
c. purchased and just received an A1 from Tiger. Have some fabrication to do to make it fit but s/b done for Carlisle
d. ordered a new cover from California Covers - what an improvement

Thanks to all the advisors.
See you in May

Paul

Thanks, guys.
The bid solicitation went out already for long sleeves.
We'll hear back Monday or Tuesday. If there's a second run, maybe we'll do short sleeves.
I have the final art:

So, what do y'all think? There should be a little something there for everybody -- Speedsters, Spyders, coupes and cabriolets. And I don't know how in blazes we'll top this for diversity next year.

Personally, I like the first car. ;)

Pre-orders will be next, in a different thread. Look for that next week.

I wondered if you'd see that, Troy! There's a coupe with flares in the first column for Charles, too.

I will be posting early this week with the cost of the shirts, as well as an address to send checks to. I need to hear back from the guy who's going to handle all that first, though.

There is no plan in place for short-sleeved shirts. I will ask if it's too late to change that.
