Bruce, Norma and all who made the 10th Anniversary the best yet. Maggie and I had a great weekend. Met so many new friends, Tom & Jodi, Mike & Diana, to name but a few new friends, and it was so great to see so many old friends as well. Maggie even won a trophy (does that make her my trophy wife ?) I think so after 42 years ! Also some who came out of name tag obscurity (Mom's 356 & Brian). We enjoyed getting to know Jim better after watching his great video's on line and he and Jack regaling us with their stories from their trip from Arkansas. It was truly a memorable weekend and the largess of Lenny to have the Dash Plaques made for all was great.

Congratulations to Cory (AKA Jim) and Jenni on their announcement as well. It's hard to believe it is over already and 12 long months to next year.

We hope that everyone returns safely to their homes with no break downs (Carl). Chuck & Maggie

Quick ride home, few small rain drops for a fe2w minutes, blue tape attached, and carbs running crappy for a while and OK for a while -- but that is to be another story.  Meanwhile, my thanks yet again to Hot Foot and her husband ECB for directing such a great weekend. Thurs and Fri were spectacular, and the "formal" business of Saturday was very well done too. Two thumbs WAY up!!  Two clutch cables, one fuel pump and a carb tear-down, plus what-all-else I do not know seemed about average.  Sure missed Leon, Dave and their Mrs's.  Great, great time.  Bro' Bruce was (rightly) impressed w/ our brand of madness.

At our peak, early Saturday we had nine TDs, plus a surprise visitor (Bob!) with the Nova Scotian TF.

Also, the first annual MG vs Porsche memorial AutoX extravaganza went off very much in a historically accurate fashion, with four TDs raging around the track in a bid for second place behind the lone Spyder. It was like 1952 all over again.

Amazingly, no one broke anything! (Except that one guy with the Miata)

I just wanted to thank all of the great folks at Carlisle this weekend who welcomed Amy and myself into the group and made us feel right at home.  We had a terrific time meeting everyone and getting a little taste of "the madness".  Special thanks to Nolan and Alan for letting me get behind the wheel as well as all of the others that let us catch rides over the weekend.  This is truly a great group of people and we look forward to returning to Carlisle again with my car (whenever that may be!)  However, we had so much fun that we will probably come back next year even if it's not ready.

A great weekend.  Thank you Bruce and Norma and all of the team for the great organization of the event and so graciously welcoming Jami and I to the group.  We certainly expect to make this an annual event. We have made some great new friends and saw some great cars built with blood, sweat, tears and whole lot of love.   And yes, we can officially call ourselves members as Jami and I took delivery from Carey of our new Beck  Speedster just in time to participate on the cruises through the winding roads and hills of Pennsylvania.

Made it home with no problems. Drove the whole way without the side curtans and only had a couple of very light "spritzes" with no real rain.  Tired - woke up and 1:30 AM infront of the PC.

THANKS to everyone who attended and made this another successful event.  Fabulous turnout, even Friday was huge.  We put the pressure on the restaurants and all three came through.  Super job by Jim Chichi and Chuck Martin with the Friday cruise of "Gold Mine Run", Bruce Larson's personal museum and Stoney Creek Inn - thanks guys for a fun day.

THANKS again to the manufacturer sponsorship of Intermeccanica, Special Edition, Inc., JPS Motorsports, Specialty Auto-Sports, Inc., and Vintage Speedsters who made the 10th celebration extra special.

Jim Youngs offered to do a photo spread in teh next issue of Kit Car Builder magazine but the deadline is this week.  If you took photos at Carlisle please post them on the Web on Photobucket, Picasaweb or somewhere else and send me the link so I can forward to him.  Thanks.

Got home in SoCal late last nite after a few mechanical plane fixes and tornado related weather delays.

Thanks to ECB, Norma, Dr. Clock, Jim Y. and everyone who helped put 2013 SOC @ Carlisle together. It was great to see all my knucklehead SOC friends and hanging out with new friends in the process.

The 2013 Carlisle video is in progress at Pineapplehead Productions. This is a very time-consuming process so it may take a while, but a few new gimmicks and angles will make it one of the best productions yet!

Peace-Out!

Ready when you are C.B. ......    Sorry to have missed it all....   I'm  impressed with Danny's show on the track as well as Corey's win...(nice going guys.)  Missed all you regulars, and wish I could have met the "newbies".....   Well there's always next year...(If I don't croak.)  Lane, Lane, Lane,,,,,You don't need a six foot breaker bar for the jet holders, when a three footer will do....
