Looks like I better get Subidoo out of winter storage. Temps have been in the 60s but now that it's warming up I need to dust her off and get ready for Carlisle 2014. 
Nolan, Sandy said she is gonna kick your butt for that comment. "now that its warming up" We have another polar blast coming in next week with -30 wind chills.

It's been relatively warm in New England lately - up into the 50's and was about 45 yesterday PM. I almost got Pearl out, then looked at my bike and it won. It was chilly, but fun for 20 miles. Probably get Pneumonia from it (I'm a bit wheezier today).
Hey, we'll be in South Beach in August for a wedding. Irish-Columbian couple (??). What's that......A four-day set of wedding parties??

Not the head count thread but good to hear who is seriously planning to attend this year so we get an idea of how the rooms are going and how many to plan for. I have been keeping a list of who say they are coming either on SO.com, on Facebook or in an email to me. Right now I have a list of 43 who sound serious and another five who are considering coming and I haven't yet heard from a bunch of regulars and many of the MG owners...and it is early! 27 of the 43 have said they booked a hotel room and, looking at the list, a good many of the other 16 will be reserving rooms. It looks like we will have another big year. I can't stress enough how important it is to reserve your room NOW if you are coming to Carlisle and give us a heads-up.
Today we made more progress with planning and will start to nail down the details over the coming weeks. Once we have everything final we'll post and email an RSVP form for everyone to complete and send in with your $ for the Saturday evening awards dinner.

Hotel is completely booked on the Friday night which is the night I needed. Looks like I'll have to find a room close by. I am coming with my car this year for the first time. I have planned on going in the past with my wife, but we have 3 boys and between sports and other stuff she always bags on me and then I don't come alone..... This year I'm bringing a buddy.... See you all there.

Court Yard has 12 room available Thursday, FULL Friday and two room available for Saturday.
Hampton Inn availability Thursday and Friday only $179 per night.
Country Inn has a few available $173 - $183 per night
Wyndham $156 per night.
Courtyard is now booked for Friday and Saturday nights......
There are 12 suites available at at Homewood Suites by Hilton 5001 Ritter Rd, Mechanicsburg (717) 697-4900 $179.55 with AAA or AARP discount.
This hotel is directly across the highway (Rt 15 NB) from the CourtYard.
If anyone is interested, this was posted earlier under General (Non-Technical):
"Hello all, I'm not going to make it this year to Carlisle but I had already registered and paid for passes as well as reserved Hotel rooms.I have a reservation at the Marriott for wed,thur and back in on saturday with a one night stay at the Home wood Suites in East Harrisburg for Friday. If anyone is interested in any of this please let me know as I will be cancelling the Hotel reservations in a few days. I just thought that if someone needed rooms the phone calls could be set up to cancel and rebook under a new name as these are secured until cancelled."

Me too. Talk about coming late to the party. I am usually on to all of this stuff in January. Sorta let this slip this year, and am now out on the economy. Holy sh**, prices are up. PS, BTW: if there is anybody at the Marriott w/ room and would be looking to share -- halve their expenses for room -- pls let me know.
