Oh man! I just used BING to look up the Fairfield Inn in Christiansburg, VA and on the website page I saw a BED BUG report on hotels in Christiansburg. Seems someone reported and gave a bed bug to the receprionist in Aug 2013. Maybe old and hopefully the rooms have been treated since. Other hotels are listed as well....

Courtyard Hotel room update...
Yesterday I received an incorrect hotel room count from Courtyard, it has been corrected today.
With the reserved room count already at 38, my wife Connie increased the room block for all three nights so we now have the entire hotel blocked until the reservation cut off date of April 16th.
Currently available :
43 rooms for Thursday
41 rooms for Friday
44 rooms for Saturday

Just got a room reservation at Marriott for Friday-Sunday. Driving my Forrester so if anyone wants a right seater I'm in. First trip and looking forward to it!

REMINDER - Only two more days to make your reservations to stay at the host hotel. Our block of rooms closes after that date and the hotel can rent out any remaining rooms, so you may have to book at another hotel after the 16th. Details are at the top of this thread. Don't delay, stay where the party is!!
Re Carlisle, someone reminded me that this is where I should have announced that I am not going to Carlisle for 2015 I have a room at the host hotel booked I will be cancelling it don't know if there is an advantage to anyone in just taking over my booking. Ray

I was going to also mention this, and I am SO glad Wild Bill has forced the issue here with documentation. I am very grateful for Bill's kindness on that first very special week end. I shared his Speedster's (Blackie) roght seat on several of the outings, and he even let me drive that beast on one of them, a graciousness I will never forget. I was so anxious for my car by that Carlisle I could taste it, and Bill's sharing of (should I say making sure of my own special case of) the madness was a singular thrill. Thanks again Wild Bill. My brutha from a different mutha . . .

I couldn't agree more. My first two Carlisles were Speedsterless. Alan Merklin took me under his wing the first year ('05) and I caged rides with several folks, including Danny Pip, the second. Don't let lack of car stop you from a reeeeeeally good time.
