I want to thank everyone that I met for being so nice. It was my first time coming to Carlisle and it exceeded my expectations. I have wanted to meet so many of you and planned each years to make the trip, only to have the plans cancelled. Many events have happened in the last two years, that have reshaped my life. I loss of my mom in 2017 and the end of my marriage just 4 months ago. The trip was much needed, the drive there was a great experience for me. It was the longest drive I have ever taken the speedster on. I have had the car on the road for six years, but never went to far from home. Everyone that helped to organize the event, I can't thank enough it was awesome.

DannyP thanks for the kind words, and Im glad to help. And Jack Crosby thanks for the great e-mail you sent!

I can hardly wait until next year

Kudos to you, Tab. I truly believe that the best thing one can do with these types of cars is to go adventuring. Jack and Alice Crosby, and David and Francine Stroud are the current World Champions of this, but many members—Lane, Pip, Paul Mossberg, Stan, Cory, me and lots of others—do or have done impractical road trips, fixing things as they go.

Usually there's no mechanical drama. Sometimes there's plenny.

There's something to be said for dealing with life as it comes this way, either as a competent solo car-whisperer or (and) as a cheerfully stranded motorist, relying on the kindness of strangers. It's that letter role that none of us relish, but which freshens the soul.

One minute you're the coolest dude on the highway; next one you're the PCCA dorkwad in need of a coil or a brake light switch (or maybe just a fuse?). Now that's character-building!

It was nice meeting you as well Tab, I think the group appreciated, at least I did, the skill set your bringing to the group.  I loved the amount of detail you put into your speedster.  I mean the attention to detail ie: on the larger Speedo, the fit and finish of the body work and paint on your car is really upscale.  It was impressive, most impressive ...
