You just make your room reservation, as I posted there is nothing you need to do or additionally mention , buffet BBQ is preplanned into the contract .

Ok---Marriott Courtyard room is booked. Really looking forward to this year's event and excited about the new venue. I have to change the oil, gas up the Speedster and head North to Yankeeland. Great job, Alan--your effort and expert organizing skills are most appreciated! Getting in Thursday afternoon. I am planning to skip the Christiansburg overnight this trip and do the Knoxville TN to Shippensburg leg in one day.

I booked our rooms today. When I called the hotel and was transferred to registration, I was told by the young lady that all the Speedster Owners rooms had been taken.
I then registered via the website, with no problem. I don't know where she got her information, or where she was located, but I can guess. The only issue with that is that the website does not allow you to state 'Speedster Owners' as your group.
So, if you call the hotel, be sure to talk to someone who knows what the H is going on.
I will resolve this glitch by tomorrow end of business day but for now ..

Just went through a similar experience and after much ado, got the right price. No double rooms are able to be reserved. So, I might have to make that happen at check in? Anyway, I’m booked!

Ladies and gentlemen, Alan Merklin! Let's give it up for Alan!
Alan is spectacular in everything he does! Who else can build a Speedster in under 1/2 hour from shortening the VW pan to waxing his fabulous paint finishes plus getting it sold and depositing his money into the bank for the car? Sometimes even faster if he doesn't have to build the engine too!
Alan will get back to us tomorrow but what I learned is exactly what Alan is telling us--- that if the hotel is busy they will transfer you to some distant reservations site and this place is unaware of our deal with the Marriott where we will be staying. You must speak with the hotel property directly to reach someone who knows our $129 rate and that the Speedster group is who we are with.

I have fixed the Hotel reservation issue. When you call the Hotel, 717 477 0680 ASK for the Hotel's Front Desk and make the reservation at the property level . ( Per Charity Shreffler ) Be sure to mention the Speedster Owner's Group !
Do Not use their 800 number , allow them to transfer you or , reserve on their Web Site .

That was my issue. I was transferred to some far away place to some young lady who knew nothing about the arrangement.

GERD the required Carlisle attire includes a full dry suit. You have a dry suit, correct? Wear that as your top layer with at least 50 lbs of weight. Don't ask questions just do it.
Make sure your helmet is rated to at least 60 fathoms.
Beneath it either an SOC T shirt or a correct Spooner Hawaiian Porsche/VW shirt. Pants optional.
Most members forego supplemental oxygen but nobody will judge you if you require it.

As an honored West Coast guest, you will be required to bring enough expensive Scotch to make Lane Anderson break out in song and forget what month it is. Two shots should cover it. Is anyone flying into Harrisburg on Wednesday the 15th of May? If not should I uber to the Hotel? Lane my caps lock is broke. Vince will have good scotch as that is his only drink. Dont do drugs so that wont be a problem.
Tried 3 times now to reserve my room. Each time I said I’m with Speedster Owners and need to make a reservation. Each time I’m handed off to national reservations.
Apparently they don’t do reservations through the front desk.
I have yet to make mine and feel like I need some guidance from Alan. Ron, you called the number in Alan's post above, right?
