Carlisle Buggy fix , Connie & I worked until 10PM the night before we were to tow bar the dune buggy, looking at the weather forecast we left the buggy in the garage and drove the BMW. My brake issue was partially resolved I had 2/3 pedal but would sink some and not lock the brakes. but good enough to run on the Carlisle grounds. Per Dave Kump's suggestion ( THANK YOU SIR! ) I pinched off one new brake hose at a time to isolate which hose effected the pedal height, found left front to be the issue , re-bled that wheel cylinder w/ same pedal issue. Pulled the drum, one side of the new wheel cylinder was not moving. tapped it with a hammer it extended under pedal pressure.... weird as all is new. Removed the cylinder from the backing plate found the casting at the female bolt threads was broken off allowing the wheel cylinder to slightly cock to one side when pressurized jamming the cylinder piston against the end of the shoe and extending. That is my " Ahh Ha" brake pedal issue ... new wheel cylinder in route.

Hot apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream. You've got to time how fast you eat it to avoid burning your mouth and letting the ice cream melt into a useless pool on the dish. Not a simple problem, but one that requires many repeated attempts to solve.
Pie.
This heat issue is much easier to manage if your pie tins are properly installed.
Great detective work!

I agree- isolating 1 wheel at a time- great idea, Alan!
Great sleuthing, Alan! Once again, you're an inspiration.

It was Dave Kump at Carlisle that gave me the idea, asking questions or an extra set of eyes, provides the clear picture and answer....
Yeah., yeah, yeah - Dave's a great guy, and pie is good food, and all that... but can't we get back to posturing our position on COVID?
After 26 months and countless posts on the topic, there may be someone waking up from a coma who has not yet formed an opinion.
It's important that they know mine!
Hi everyone. Really sorry I couldn't make it to Carlisle. Wife was in Denver for work and I was home with kids and crazy work schedule. Looks like another great year even with some sogginess. Please keep the pictures and videos coming. Looking forward to next year.
@MarylandGuy Sorry you couldn't make it. It was fun.
I'd like to revisit the previous page with that French flower car called "Frencamino" and counter with "Frenchero". It just rolls off the tongue better. I guess the guy is a Chevy guy rather than Ford.

I have an opinion, but at your request....I'll go for it...please tell us yours.
I want to know how Kelly is doing?
@David Stroud IM Roadster D - are you the coma guy?

He's posting about 12 times a day on FB.
Just a suggestion, Carlisle 2022 seemed like a great time for the folks who could attend. I enjoyed the pics, the commentary, and the fact that it's been a long time since folks felt comfortable going to a big show.
Let's let this post/thread wind down gracefully. If someone wants to start a Covid thread over on Anything Goes and let folks get their angst out that's fine. My opinion as stated in the pie post is that we're unlikely to share a totally believable, immutable truth, that will sway anyone who's already got a position on pie, Covid, or the price of tea in China. We may get some "amens" to make us feel better, but it comes at the price of alienating one side or another, or another, or another...

Please let me rephrase my post. I've never been in a coma, Stan. You seem keen to post your opinion on the subject, so herewith I encourage you to do so at some length. I will only say that my health problem is fairly acute asthma and combining that with my age, MY common sense advises me to avoid close contact with those who may not share my precaution or views on the subject. I sure miss the long distance travels in the Speedster and Roadster. Maybe next year....
I hope that common sense can prevail with this post concluding this thread and we can look forward to Carlise 2023...With that said: Thank you all for coming out to our Carlisle weekend! A few arrived on Wednesday afternoon and the rest of us rolled in on Thursday. What started out as a group of 16 for dinner suddenly swelled to 26 in 15 minutes time but our regular stop, the Pizza Grill was able to accommodate all of us with one miraculous server doing a perfect job and not skipping a beat. Friday AM we did the Angela Lane Memorial cruise ( Thanks Jeni & Cory) to King's Gap PA then headed south to Gettysburg, PA. with some cruising out on their own. Later in the day we split into different groups for dinner (Connie and I returned to the Pizza Grill ...our absolute favorite eatery) Saturday, we headed to the Show Field for a show and shine day and others were off in a different direction. The raffle on Saturday evening was fun too. All in all, personally I miss staying together as a tight group as in the past especially the Carlisle facility on Saturday but changes seems to be happening ( the Carlisle Marching Band "Egg Sammich" place is no longer). I'm making some priority changes hence, ( despite scuttle bug, I'm not jumping the fence to the Meyers Manx Club) Please PM me asap if you would assume the hotel arraignment's with Charity at the Courtyard..... Its a very simple process and minimal time. In closing, thank you Ed Erickson and all that attended Carlise 2022. Lastly, the Covid crud managed to hit Kelly, Lane & my wife Connie..... Get Well Soon & God Bless!
and that is a great final post for the Carlisle 2022 event!
