And its Frazer, not Fras-ee-er or Frayshure.  ElFrazoo will do.  My pass arrived yesterday too.

I'm fixin' to be there thurs.  There is talk about a reunion of sorts for what was once called the east coast caravan, something @Lane Anderson probably started.  I hear Laner is not coming because its just too damn far, and he's foresworn replicas in favor of a real car, or some such pansy-ass excuse, although, if he could find a way to fly in to Philly or Harrisburg or even BWI, certain conveyances might be arranged for him.  But that's not the point here.  The point is: will there be an East Coast caravan meeting for lunch somewhere around I70/I81/Hagerstown vicinit? I recall a certain Cracker Barrel . . .  Anyway, if the timing is right, I'm certainly willing to posse up.  @edsnova,  Stumpp (not -mph),  Merklin might too, and the @Cory Drake Drakes now live up that way.  Paul and Glenn?  Any others?

Laner's not coming because we have a couple of budget-busting trips for family stuff this year, Mr. Frazeeyur.

It was either Carlisle OR the Tour de Smo'.  Had to choose one or the other.

How many years has it been?

Too many, I think.

Yeah, me, too.

Last visit was 2018 ( I know - wow... ) and since then, life has been getting in the way.

Chris recently started a new job and I don't know his availability (he's working on it) and we have a previous commitment that week, so I'm working on that, too.

There's a possibility, just don't hold your breath.....

The Cracker Barrell we would meet at was in Chambersburg PA exit 14.

.....I may very well make it there, I will know this week !_

Howdy Speedster guys and gals, my last attempt for a gathering.   Thursday night dinner at the campgrounds - likely around 7pm, Everyone is invited for a Hot Dog, "Best of the Wursts", and Sausage sammie party.  We will have a lot of food and keg of cold Keystone Light.  If anyone wants to bring something extra, feel free, but show up with your cars and chat if you all are looking for something to do.   We are headed to Gettysburg on Thursday for a long cruise so likely be back around 6pm to start the festivities around 7pm.   Screenshot 2024-04-24 at 1.02.15 PM

Unfortunately, I'm out again this year - seems I make it every 3 years.  Let me know if you happen to see a Dolphin Mod-T Shriner dune buggy there.  Made in late '90's by Dolphin Industries in Pompano Beach, FL.  Mine is an unusually 4 seater - mose duen buggies are 2 seaters.  I'd like to find out more about it.  Here's mine - photo from years ago.

I am afraid that I cannot make it this year.  We are helping with some of the logistics so that one of our neighbors' little girl can do a "Make a Wish" trip to Disney World and we'll be busy here that entire week.  I tried to find a way to get to Carlisle, but it just ain't gonna happen.

All Y'all can have an Egg Sammich for me, with extra bacon, of course!  For that matter, get a Bagel in the hotel restaurant and munch on it while roaming around the parking lot.

Plans:

Arrivals begin Thursday via caravans & etc.

Thursday night dinner is with the Dune buggy guys at the field.

Friday 10am step off for a covered bridge tour, which goes to lunch at Grandpa's Love Shack at about 1. From there you can head to the show field, back to hotel or elsewhere.*

Friday dinner is the venerable Restaurant Scramble. Or we can all descend on Pizza Grill again because we're not that big and unwieldy a group.

Post dinner will be bench racing, cigars, secreted cocktails & etc. in and around our hospitality room. There is also a possibility of Sprint Car racing for those who partake.

Saturday is showfield day. Dinner is 6 pm at Snappers (see menu above).

After dinner there's dessert in the hospitality room, and the lamented raffle along with more enjoyable car talk and pie and snax. Do not flaunt your alcohol.

* Possibilities to include: ACAA Museum, Autobahn Indoor Speedway, Macris Chocolates, the Rolls Royce Museum, etc.
