Hey guys and gals! Anyone else fixing to head to Carlisle in May?
The show runners extended the 20% off tickets deal through Jan. 7.

Unfortunately I'll have to miss for yet another year as I have a niece's wedding to attend at that time. Dang!
I'm in. As for Lane, its pretty clear to me that he has utterly failed at being able to plan his life in a harmonious way. Phhtttt to him.
Of course, there is that thing about living in a glass house or something…. 🤦♂️
Yeah @Gordon Nichols, I was about to pick up a rock.
????????????????????????????
The Dune Buggies schedule is just about locked in. Confirming if Valve Cover Racing will be back this year - I'll know this weekend. Hopefully we can intersect at some point for the event. Right now this is what is planned by us that will be camping again on site - most of us. Also, anyone looking for a late night refreshment or "hot dog" - the firepit is on until the early wee hours each night at the campgrounds. Andy
Hey Pete!
VW Valve Cover Racing (The ACME Cup) will not be held in 2025 - just not enough participants - we are taking a year off to see if there is enough interest on-going. HOWEVER, please reach out to me if you all may want to borrow one of the tracks for a local Speedster group competition. Andy
Hey folks the hotel is set, Courtyard by Marriott West/Mechanicsburg as usual. Rooms are $150 a night the phone number is 717-766-9006. Any questions, ask Greta Bowring.
... and so the ball starts rolling. As to valve cover racing, ... ???
You're in charge, Kelly!
Kelly, I believe you've just been "voluntold".
We will be there!
BTW, we've been getting pushed up against the steel fence more and more every year to the point where we don't always have enough space for all our cars. We've been socializing/partying with the Dune buggy guys...how about asking Carlisle (Dave?) to move us back over to the other side of the field - maybe closer or right next to those guys.
A few years ago, we asked to move farther away because of a concern about the tuners coming back but I don't think that has been a problem. Time to get back to the center of what's happening instead of feeling like outcasts. Thoughts?
Update: Request made.
I will politely decline to be responsible for valve cover shinanigans. Others here (looking at you Cory Drake) have a much better grasp of what all that involves. You will have instantly recognized the two entries he made for the show last year in pics above. Given that the true geniuses in this event (the Buggy guys) are waving it off, I'm thinking that the deal is a no show this year.
