Amy and I are planning to attend the festivites again next year as well.  My SAS will still be several years in the making so we will be bringing my "tweener" that I purchased this October to keep me busy until my speedster is done.  It is a restored 1960 MG MGA.  I hope it will be ok for us the crash the party again.  Even though I don't actually have a speedster in my posession yet, I feel more like a speedster owner than an MG owner.

Me too, Lane. We do some pretty exotic travel each year but the highlight for me is Carlisle!

How can someone East of the Mississippi (or 300 miles West) own a Speedster and not do the run to Carlisle?  Until they do they don't understand how much of Speedsterdom is about the folks rather than just the cars.

Jim ---it wouldn't be the same without you! Great you'll be there again!

I dunno, Al.......That looks suspiciously like a Quahog to me...

Maybe we need to do a big event on the shore in New England and introduce everyone to "Stuffies".

From Wikipedia: "Stuffed clams (or stuffies) are popular in New England and consist of a breadcrumb and minced clam mixture that is baked on the half shell of a quahog hard shell clam. Other ingredients typically found in the basic breadcrumb mixture are: meat such as sausage, bacon or chouriço (Portuguese sausage), chili pepper, lemon juice, celery, garlic, spices and herbs. There are many different recipes for stuffed clams; many restaurants in New England have their own variety, as do many home cooks."

Bring it on! You're all welcome. Heidi makes the best stuffed clams on the Cape and the Winter shellfish here is unbelievable. The weather is a little better here than most of New England.  Sunny, 45 degrees, bare ground and dry roads. The only problem is that the weather will stay pretty much like that until June. Speedster weather if you dress warm.

And that is an egg sammich getting ready to disappear the day before we were heading to Carlisle 2012.
