Well, it's never too early to begin the trip plan, I guess. So here is the way the Hoss-a-van looks beginning Tuesday night, May 15th.

5/15: This will be the traditional dinner with the Jack and Alice Crosby at Aubreys in Lenoir City, TN.

5/16: Depart for Christiansburg, VA at approximately 9:00 AM. There will be a lunch stop just over the border in Virginia. Jack, do you think we can find that great restaurant we stumbled upon last year? It was called "Brooklyn Grill."

Motel for the night: Holiday Inn Express 2725 Roanoke Street
1-800-315-2605 or 1-540-382-6500

5/17: Depart for Carlisle NLT 8:30 AM. Fuel the night before would be good. The lunch stop will be at the Shoneys in Hagerstown, MD. at approximately 12:30 PM.

Then the enlarged crew begins the final push to Carlisle after lunch, about an hour drive (45 minutes if you're riding with Cory).

Our route is simple, I-40 to I-81 all the way to Carlisle. Fuel stops on an as needed basis for the small tank guys. When you need it, pull to the front and signal your fuel stop exit.

On the return trip, I have booked the Fairfield Inn, Christiansburg for Sunday night. 2659 Roanoke Street

1-540-381-9596

Six months off and already I'm getting excited. WOW!

Since we'll be traveling with the two Jack Russell Terrors until we get to their kennel in Mechanicsburg, count us out for Christiansburg for an over night. Besides, your motel isn't pet-friendly for us. We'll scoot along I-81 and meet up with all Y'all at Mechanicsburg after dropping off the pups (They're staying at a puppy spa, after all.....theraputic pool, tailored menus, grassy dog runs.....it's quite the place!)

G & K
SG, just off cruise ship yesterday and we're visiting Nolan and Jan in FL (home tomorrow). I had back surgery last March and have not been in training since. Still do my morning 2.75 mile walk with my pet Zoey and did my first 5k at walk/jog speed a few weeks ago. I have to begin training for my half-marathon (April) or it won't be happening. Walk/jog is a fact of life going forward. Thanks for the offer, but I think I would slow you down. ;-)
