Tee-shirts are really moving slowly. I was hoping to not have to lay out several hundred more dollars to produce the coolers and tool bags, but I don't have a choice now.

Those of you who wanted them, now's the time to mail me some checks. I know it's a pain in the a**, but I'm sitting here about $1,100 down already, and I am not willing to do that again. I don't know why this sounded like it was doable, but it's not.

So, here's what I'll do. The first twenty checks for $25 I get will get tool bags to be delivered at the show. Annotate with "Tool Bag," please.

The first twenty checks I get for $20 will get coolers to be delivered at the show. Annotate with "Cooler," please.

Deadline is the same as the shirts -- APRIL 15.

If there is insufficient interest on April 15, I will be returning your checks to you, and probably eating my set-up fees and a sh*tload of tee-shirts (which are done, sitting at the printer's shop in Annapolis, Md.).

I would appreciate your help in making this happen.

Tom Blankinship, Bruce Stumpp, Paul Mossberg, Danny Piperato, Kelly Frazer and Todd el-Taher have all come through on their cooler orders. I have their checks, AND the embroidery lady says she's going to have to upgrade either the size or quality of the coolers themselves because of a size difficulty with the ones she ordered.

She's selected a bold yellow for the stitching because, she said, it'll make the coolers look more professional. The white stitching looked nice, but she thought there was some room for improvement.

Kind of like "Bank Error in Your Favor," in Monopoly. We're getting a better bag, same embroidery and at the same cost. That's pretty awesome -- so I went ahead and stuck my neck out and ordered all 20.

Please don't let me down. Six orders down, 14 to go. Operators are standing by.

Tool bag orders so far are in from Peter Venuti, Joe Fortino, Paul Mossberg and Jeni Jackson (for her Mustang, believe it or not).

I ordered the bags Friday afternoon, and the embroidery lady says she's going to be able to absolutely make them happen by the first week in May. There's a small margin for error there, and I'll shoot a picture of the prototype as soon as one's made.

That's four bags spoken for out of 20 ordered.

Scott -- still no images, but it's a revision (updating the year) of the tool bag discussed and pictured in this thread:

For some reason, whenever I try to upload an image to the site here, the computer doesn't know how to act. I'm starting to think it's the settings. If I wasn't a complete rube, I'd have figured this out by now.

Whit, no PayPal account. It's not too late, though. April 15 is the cutoff -- but since all this stuff's paid for already and you're essentially paying me back for money I've already spent, I'll look for checks after that.

Art, not yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. I'm sorry for the earlier confusion -- the Popeye reference. That wasn't aimed at anyone in particular.

This is an annual, self-inflicted kick in my own butt. It started a bunch of years ago; I spend money on souvenirs (as have several others) and usually take a loss; it's just in the interest of having something souvenir-ish that doesn't cost a lot for those who want something to take home.

Every year, I tell myself I won't do it again, but every year, somehow I do. :-|

I do thank you for your support. Seriously. And I honestly think you'll like the shirts when they arrive on your doorstep.

As of 04/22/14, here's the latest and greatest on the checks received for tool bags and coolers:

Tom Blankinship: one cooler

Bruce Stumpp: one cooler

Danny Piperato: one tool bag, two coolers

Kelly Frazer: one cooler

Todd el-Taher: one tool bag and one cooler

Jeni Jackson: one tool bag

Peter Venuti: one tool bag

Joe Fortino: one tool bag

Paul Mossberg: one cooler and one tool bag

Lane Anderson: one tool bag

David Kumpf: one cooler

Lenny Cuccureddu: one cooler

James Whitford: one cooler

Totals so far:

Coolers-- 10/20 spoken for

Tool bags-- 7/20 spoken for

Please remember these are for pick-up only. If you're not coming to Carlisle, please make arrangements with someone else to pick it up in person.

Check in on the SOC/Facebook page to see the latest photos of what to expect.

Cory---please reserve one tool bag for my wife, Alice.  I'll bring the monet for it to Carlisle.

She thinks that it will make a great carrying bag for her bible!  May have something to do with praying we make our destination in the Speedster---I don't know exactly!

Anyway---thanks for doing this for her.
