Forgive me if this is already running in another thread.

I'll be bringing some things, and wanted to encourage guys who haven't started their spring cleaning yet to think out of the box this year -- in terms of either the raffle or just in the interests of the hobby.

For example, there are guys among us who don't have Muir's book. I have a couple copies, neither one new, and wondered if a near-new copy would be of value to somebody. Or, for example, I have a new tool box with a mix-and-match, mostly complete set of metric wrenches which would be a good starter set for the guy who doesn't do metric yet.

I don't think things like that should necessarily make it to the raffle table, but I'd be willing to trade them for a good story, a barley-pop or a cigar over the weekend.

I probably will be bringing the still-very-clean, four-cam lookalike aluminum valve covers made for a Type IV, now that I've decided they aren't for me. They're beautiful, and somebody ought to put them to use.

I think I have a few other goodies to add to the pile. Thought I'd start this ball rolling ...

We've got a few things that we wanted to send along for the drawing but don't want someone to have to pack them along (unless you have a motor home or something). They're car related gift baskets.

Do you think I could ship to the hotel and have them "hold for pickup" for some responsible SOC person? That person could ensure they got to the raffle?

Yes, we don't have a registration fee for the weekend but do ask everyone to bring something for the annual raffle - memorabilia, unused car parts or accessories, related books, car care products, gift certificates, etc. The proceeds are used to defray weekend expenses and next year's tenth anniversary. The raffle will be held in the hotel hospitality suite after we return from the show field Saturday afternoon.
