I just checked the weather- rain today, cloudy tomorrow, thunderstorms Saturday- doesn't look great.

It turned out much better than teh weather reports gave us any hope for. Rain starting Thursday evening around 4:00 or 5:00pm, but not heavy. Gone by the next morning. Didn't rain again until about the same time Saturday night. Gone by this morning. A good time was had by all.

What would Carlisle be without rain in May?

It's kind of like a ritual - go to Carlisle and get water in your carbs!

I came back to Baltimore a true Redneck. Made it into town just in time for the evening cruise. Amazing. I realized I need to get out of the city more often. Just need to be sure and wear sunscreen.

Came home in the sun this time......Much better.....

Missed the back edge of the front by a few hours. Cool and cloudy, but smooth sailing.

Found cool and sunny weather when I arrived home at about 12:45 pm. It is currently 59 degrees and will be chilly tomorrow morning when I take Zoey for her morning walk. Let's see now, after the walk, breakfast, water aerobics, home for lunch, cut the grass, trash out, make dentist appointment.....hoo hum....another normal day in paradise. Good to be home but can't wait for the Dragon run in October.

10-4 on the Paradise thing. Heard from the folks in Beaufort that it's in the very low 50's, has been raining since we left and they expect very heavy rain until at least next Monday. Should eradicate all of the drought conditions there in three days flat.

In the meantime, it's headed for 80 in Massachusetts by Thursday - GORGEOUS here today...

Good weather follows the Jacks, I'm jus' sayin....

It's 2:10 pm on Tuesday and the temperature is a very windy 62 degrees with gray skies. In Charleston. In May. It's another sign of the apocolypse.

Tuesday....73f. ......lawn mowed......kick back time.......

I could not believe my truck got 26.3mpg for the entire trip.....Lucked out again......

17.1 for the leg(s) from Beaufort to Carlisle with cruise set to 68.

16.3 from Carlisle to Grafton with the cruise set to 72.

Maybe I need a Tundra......

It's a miracle, the weather is perfect this week. 84 today with no cloulds. I dont know what to do with myself. Speedy is going to work today for sure.

The ride home was done w/ top up as air was a tad chilly, and also done via back roads through Gettysburg. Drove around the battlefield some, climbed the tower, and was home before dark. Not bad considering we stayed 'til the bitter end, did not win a Meyer's Manx, and had dinner on the road. MUSB, Teresa and I. A good end to a very fine week-end dodging, for the most part, any serious driving time in the rain.
