Of course, the other side of the sealing equation, is that, if you DO get the damn things to seal up (both top and side curtains) and you're one of the lucky ones with a big engine and no heat, the next thing you find is that you've kept air out, too, and that means that the cockpit doesn't breathe.

Not quite so bad if you have a light colored top, but if yours is black, like mine, it gets really hot in there on a Sunny day, even if the outside temp is in the 40's or below.

God help you if you stop for traffic and can't get a window out.

This is especially pertinent if you don't have heat, or any way to move air through the cockpit, as windows fog up quickly (shades of my old 1957 Beetle sedan).

I guess people have gotten used to seeing me wih my Eddie Bauer, anti-fog Chamoix block, clearing off the inside of the windows/windshield. I know that the guys in the TYP356 club get a kick out of seeing me....... 8>(

So apparently it pays to leave a few air leaks - at least it helps purge the cockpit and clear the windows........
