I am new to the replica of a 1956 speedster I have purchased. I love this car. I ordered a carpet kit for it and it was so wrong. I beleive the car sit's on a 1969 VW chassis. But it would seem that I should have stressed that more.
Can anyone help me in finding the proper carpet and some replacement seat's that are correct for this car. Any help would someone could give would be appreceiated. Thanks so much.

Use your old carpet and seat covering for a pattern. Lowes has indoor/outdoor caprt that looks like the costly German wool square weave carpet (and doesn't smell like a wet dog when it inevitably get wet. Get enought for backs of seats and front trunk. A carpet shop can add vinyl or stitched edging. If they are the CMC type Speedster bucket seat with holes in back for seat belts - there is little sewing required.
Blane,
I've done a custom carpet job in my car recently. That said, many folks here have done them. It's not terribly difficult to do with some patience.
In no way am I trying to sound like a jerk but, take a few hours and sit down at your computer and go through old threads using the "Search" option. There is soooooo much info on here on just about anything and everything you need to know. Trust me, if it involves any kind of repair or part for you're speedster, someone here has done it. Enjoy and come here with your questions before you go anywhere else.
