Hello Gabe, I just got an email from Jimbo looking to hook up with Kelly Frazer whos coming into town this weekend.. and Kelly wants to meet up at C&C this Saturday... I however will not be able to make it due to some scheduling problems and high school track meets! LOL.. I know this breaks most of your hearts out there, but suck it up.. I'll see you all soon... Kelly is looking forward to this event too so try to hook up with him directly as well.

I'll give Kelly your contact numbers so he can catch-up with you guys Saturday morning. Weather for the weekend looks like it will be pretty nice, which usually means a good turn-out of cars and spectators.

I'm still working on organizing another SoCal SOC day cruise in the next couple of weeks, maybe a cruise through Silverado/Trabuco Canyon and ending at K1-Speed in Irvine for some indoor cart racing and lunch. It'll be a good tune-up for our caravan to Morro Bay. I'll keep you posted.

Peace - Out!

Jim, take good care of Kelly the Elder.
He's the unofficial East Coast ambassador to LA-LA-Land at the moment, in the same way that only Nixon could go to China. It would start an inter-coastal incident if you return him sunburned.
We'd have to return you to the West Coast frostbitten after Carlisle.
I'm on station, and ready for battle. Plan to hook up w/ MUSBJIM Friday, and get all the coordinates for a run at C&C on Saturday, plus meet some local SOC members on Saturday. Would be cool to get some cruise time -- we'll see.

Turned out of the Avis lot this PM at Lindberg Field and was immediately passed by a white 1600 Super Coupe. Very clean and very quiet. CA is the place to be. Made me think of my old '61 Super 90. Sigh . . .

and what's w/ all this "elder' crap?? You better be watchin' your back.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, pix are coming. Good thing I got a 1 GB card in the camera. Arrived home late last night, and will get to the photos soon. C&C is a great thing, but there are SO MANY CARS and only 2 hours to drool. You couldn't get it all done if it was run all day.

It was very nice to meet some of the SoCal contingent: Gabe, Desi, Tom. Speedsters were well represented, by my count. JPS had Coupe #11 on display. There were several real steel ones there too, especially the very nicest '61 Super 90 ever seen -- at least by me and I used to have one. A complete rebuild, recently finished, and this car is Concourse ready. Every detail is perfect. Very good job.

Gabe: thanks for breakfast, compadre, I thoroughly enjoyed your hospitality. Too bad MUSBJIM was unavoidably detained elswhere. I did run down to Huntington Beach and took in the Woody show there the rest of the day Sat -- again, pictures TBD -- THAT was very cool. SOOOO California. Ran the PCH to Laguna Beach, had dinner there and studied how the other half lives in grand style.

More later.
