Gorgeous!
engine not on view, if I had a "turbo" id have that lid up showing it off
I had a chance to shoot the engine but I was all out of bullets
This beautiful Speedster belongs to Mike Crouch (Paso Robles). As Will mentioned, Mike did all the custom fabrication including, cowling, door panels, engine compartment panels. etc.
I thought this was interesting. I could be wrong, but as far as I know, Mike's car was the ONLY flared car at SLO this year. I don't know who the original manufacturer of his car was, but it wasn't a CMC or Vintage flare. It's a very nice, mild custom flare (I believe) to the rear fenders only.
Just thought it was odd that all the cars there this year were traditional body style.
That is really something special. Is the a second helmet fairing but like half sized?

It is set back from the edge of the fairing and appears to be open? Air intake duct or some sort?
Art
I believe Mike said he did the flares or he had someone do them for him. The second fairing is an air intake.
That was my second guess.
the dash gives it away as a Vintage

Mike did the flares himself. I remember talking to him about the process he went through when we stopped at Tin City - BarrelHouse Brewery (num num)...
