"THE" Intermeccanica is sold. The new owners are coming to pick her up, and drive her to a new home in the high country of North Carolina. I assure you, I will do everything I can to get them to participate in SOC activites, Carlisle and the like.

If owning this car has done anything for me, it has created friendships that I will cherish for a very long time. As I just told John "Hoss" on the phone, I will attend your events and stay way in the back, even if I have to come in a minivan ! (I'll be the mobil beer garden.

The fact is that I did have a number of problems with this car, NONE of which were the doing of Henry. Henry's coach building & general workmanship are impeccable, but the folks at CB Performance (who put the motor & drivetrain together) left something to be desired. My expert mechanic, Mark Finley of ReZoom ended up having to pul the drive train, where we found a huge amount of debri that appears to have been caused my a misaligned clutch assembly. Henry could not have been nicer, responding to all of our messages & replacing parts at no cost to me. I still ended up having to pay a good bit for these repairs. Plus I am not a wrench, and I learned quickly that with these cars, a good bit of do it yourself & technical know how are certainly needed.

So the IM is gone, as also recently my Z06 went too. But there's something new on the horizon.........a deposit has been made....we pick it up in two weeks........(Lane, your gonna kill me).........

Tom - Congratulations on your new Corvette!

What an amazing, exciting car!

OK - done harassing you (even though I would LOVE to have a new corvette). Congrats on your successful sale. Your IM was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.

But don't think selling the car means you can avoid us - LOL! Once you're friends with the people on this site, you're friends forever!

According to my mother, I am me

I did get a very poorly built Beck from the jerks at (now defunct) Boulder Speedster, which quickly burned do to a hoorible build. Cary Hines took the car, rebuilt it & sold it to someone in der fatherland. Then I bought the IM in 2006, which was delivered this AM to Jacques Escalare of Cashiers, NC. I have urged Jacques and his lovely wife Robin to log onto the site, and join the Speedster Chosen at our seasonal gatherings.

OK, now who is ForumPrick, as I hope all your friends don't call you that ?
