Hi Peter, I don't know of your mechanical ability or your
particular needs, but I've seen people adapt the earlier

FI kind of depends on your budget. If money is tight adapting a junkyard CIS system can be done. If money is not an issue then think SDS (Simple digital Systems).
Then there's the "in between" systems like CB Performance.

George, The "in between" system is what I'm referring to.
The plan is to go with the electronic distributor and CB's fuel injection. The theory being minimal maintance and maximum performance.
This being installed on a 1776cc type 1 engine. what do you think?

I think that unless your 1,776 is built to be a high performance engine that you're probably wasting your money on EFI unless you have an emissions restriction problem. If it were me I'd spend the money on a stroker crankshaft, rods, heads, etc.
A pair of 40 IDF Webers can be set up to offer good performance and economy for a 1,776.

"Karma"; Today I saw a Fuel Injection set up for sale and it probably was from a 2180 Miget or larger engine. It had the Fuel Injection Assembly and Ignition System (Mallory Mag)
"Nozel's, Plumbing, Maifolds, Air Cleaners and Ignition System.
If you are mechanical you might find it "Affordable", it't in Fresno, California.
