Hey all;

    I have the Dates put on the Calender.  June 6, 7 & 8.  Sue and I will certainly be showing up.   I called the Cornerstone this morning and they are already full so we will shop around for other area lodgings.   I've never been a huge fan of B & B's anyway,  but we would have stayed there if...

   We are planning on staying both nights this year.    Really looking forward to ANY weather that's better than winter.

I was wondering where you two (Chris & Sue) went? The Holiday Inn Express, just 7-8 miles south in Morton was a fine place (brand new at the time) when I stayed there 2 years ago during the inaugural Corn Daze. Attached is a map (sorry it got a little cloudy down near the south side)...but you know the area better than me anyways. I do believe there are several motels in Morton, just don't forget about the high school girls with baseball bats!

I looked around on the "innerweb"  and we booked a room at the Sleep INN & Suites on the West edge of Washington.   It was $104 a night.    We'll stay there Friday & Sat.

          I think Embassey Suites are still my favorite chain hotel...   But I really didn't like the parking of the Peoria location.   It was kinda cool being close to the River though.            I'm a midwest Lifer...   The only interesting thing in the Midwest are the rivers.   But the history of the rivers, and the river towns,  is very rich.

It's almost the 1st of March and there is still too much ice to open the sliding door of my barn!

I spent an hour making a path to the barn and getting the stupid door to the barn open.

Went for a nice FAST drive on my Birthday!

I got the speedster fired up and she ran for 10 minutes...   But it is still only 20 degrees so I didn't take her out.

Heater works awesome in the 911!

Supposed to get more *!$& snow tonight
