I never liked the way my Subaru exhaust was designed. The exhaust flow slammed into the end of the hollowed out Empi muffler and bounced around until it found it's way out one of the two pea shooter tubes. The way I have it now seems to be a smoother flow path for the exhaust and I like the look. What do you think? I am sure there is mixed opinion.

I prefer your new look. I like the closely-placed twin pipes, oval shape, and rolled edge. Plus, if you tire of the look, it would be easy to exchange for a different tip.
x2 on the new look, and dayyum that's a purty color!
Looks good!
Believe it or not, the Stainless Tip I used cost $23.00 online. I ordered it not expecting much but thought I would take the chance. The tip turned out to be a very well made part . The closest other tips were over $100.00 and up and not as nice looking.
What sump pan are you using?
The Sump pan is one supplied by Smallcar.com . It is a special pan for Subaru to VW conversions. I think it gives more ground clearance than the stamped steel pan the Subaru engine has on it from the factory.

Jimmy: Very nicely done!
I'm envious of the simplicity of the headers versus what we have to accommodate with an aircooled, except for the type 4 engine.
I am sure the design of the header could be more balanced and tuned to get a few more HP. I am happy with the est. 180HP I have now. Big difference in trying to get 180HP out of a 40HP platform vs. getting 180HP out of a platform that easily can sustain 400HP. My engine doesn't need to be tricked out to the edge of it's limits to generate 180HP, it does it easily, dependably and without a strain . This is the main reason I decided to go this route.
