That is really nice! Is it a costly process? Do you have an idea as to the process they take to accomplish it.
I think my exhaust was ceramic coated silver/chrome but with age it gets dark and my flex/resonator seems to have a bit of rust on it.
@jncspyder posted:@IaM-Ray $300.00 process unknown.... had extreme performancecoatings in oxnard do their magic...i'm a firm believer in "save your dough, hire a pro" they said it should be good for quite a while
A pro helps for sure and yes may even save you some dough, as it may keep you from screwing things up.
I will look into it in my area but my next set of headers will be SSteel for sure.
I've got to get mine done as well. My local guy sends it out for sand-blasting and/or stripping, then he ceramic coats it in a kiln. The ceramic is applied using an electro-static charge. It's the same as powder-coating, just bakes at a higher temperature.
Thanks for that info Danny that makes sense.
@jncspyder Jim, that coating looks great on your coupe's exhaust system!
I have an A-1 sidewinder with the ceramic coating and it's holding up VERY well after 30,000 miles.
