I drove one this weekend in illinois, I was very impressed with the whole thing. I talked to kevin on a different board and he said they will be putting a 16 valve engine in sometime. but didn't say when. The engine had plenty of power as it was. He also said you can turbo the engine.
I realize this is an old thread.. but...

I am curious, Could you retrofit/add something similar to the Stage 3 Kit APR puts out for the 2.0l VW/Audi Motor?

http://www.goapr.com/products/stage3_20_tsi_trans.html

or even the Stage 2 type Turbo upgrade?

Just for the record...NOTHING sounds like the original but the original.

That 4-cam Fuhrman engine is very distinctive. You hear "air cooled" but your ears tell you "something different" and you can't quite place it unless you've heard it. No other boxer, air or water cooled sounds like a Fuhrman 547.

It's like a sexually explicit moment for your ears...

Tracy, yes and no. The APR kits are meant for specific applications. Most likely it will not just bolt in and you will need some custom fabrication on the exhaust and intake tracts. Mounting points may also be different. The application wil work with that engine, it just may not physically fit exaclty as designed by APR.
