Dear all,

don't you think, the reason might be, that the cabs are getting too hot? And cause of this you have these evaporating problem?

Cause of this, I posted the pics of the isolation flages ( post above).

With the Webers in my Buggy, it made a big difference. I putted these pertinax flanges as well under the suction pipe as under the cabs. and I have no problems like these anymore.

before my cabs boiled over a time after a hot ride with also same starting problems afterwards. With the flanges no problem anymore.

BR

Cheers

definately a contributing factor. Though in my case, unless it is a very very hot day I rarely have an issue with vapor lock when the car is hot. The problem is when it is cold and the car sits for more than a day or two. I think that maybe it is developing an airlock on shut down combined with what you are saying. I have to do a couple of tests this weekend on the fuel pump.

The carb insulators do help. One must re-torque the mounting nuts because I have seen them work loose.  The real problem is the engine compartment is holding to much heat. Maybe Mitch will post what he has done and the results.

The only time the carbs are in that situation is after driving and then you stop. Simple solution is to open the deck lid and let the heat Escape.  If your running the so called rain hats, throw them away! If your going to a electric fuel pump don't forget a regulator.
