Wow, TC; looks like a nice restorable one with the bigger 2.0 L...at least from a distance. Those are nice cars but parts can be a bitch to find. Ask JJ..he's got a nice '72 and his right rear caliper gave up the ghost and it's been a nightmare trying to find a replacement....
Gordon, I know . . . .I know . . . ! !

That engine alone, with those tasty carbs is like dessert! But, since I know nothing about Type IV's and am trying to learn on this other engine and the Webs are another world in themselves, and I just sold the MGB in order to extend the deck into that part of the yard, AND I'm not looking to get a divorce until AFTER I get around to siphoning off the retirement fund into my off shore accounts . . .

Well, I really don't want to put my current "life" into a tailspin for a $750 steal of a 914.

Of course, I could always just leave it in your yard, you hardly live there anymore anyway You could keep the engine for your trouble and I'd come down for the bady in another month when I have the room.
