IM on Craigslist

Uhhh that's the Hawaii smashed caterpillar green and red speedster. How'd it get to LA? I'd be cautious with this one. Ohhh... it's not in LA. It's still on Maui.

Odd... that they would list it on LA Craigslist.

Vehicle is located in Kihei, HI.  according to ad.

 

Not seeing an IM sticker - I'd bet its a CMC.

Humm?  42K miles and $30K on a rental car? Buyer beware, yes?

 

Ted, perhaps LA is the cheapest port of entry? And large market?

Yeah, good call. I'd love to see that one on the mainland. We could get a 'fund me' drive going to have the bumpers painted.

Looks just as bad in the flesh.

I have often thought that the '57 Porsche Speedster body lines etc. was and is one of the most iconic and elegant auto designs ever.  People here agonize over their color choices, and it usually comes down to: pick whatever you want, because no matter what, it will be gorgeous --- the car is so cool, you can't miss.  Well, just goes to show you that every rule has its exception.  This is the most unusual, and I venture to say, the least appealing color combo imaginable.  This car is not pretty -- sorry.  Get the sanding blocks out and call a good painter -- that would be the first order of business.  As Charlie Brown (or was it Snoopy??) would say: "Bleh!"

I don't think the color is THAT bad, but I really don't get the vermilion bumpers.  

OH NOOOOOOO, it is that bad. Just yuck, barf, and upchuck. Bad. Please take it to Maaco ASAP.
