Wow! What a great issue of Kit Car Magazine---not only is there a great write up of the entire Carlisle event, but a separate feature about the Speedsters Meet Spyders event (plus our 6 MG friends and three metal Porsches),great shots of Darcie and Steve Clark, Hoss scarfing an egg sammich, Cory's son piloting the Hoopty, Bruce and Norma, Bruce and Norma Stumpp who was recognized as the "principal organizers" of the Carlisle event, David and Francine Stroud and getting the longest drive award with 5,030 miles from their meandering route, Cory inside his engine compartment recusitating his engine from racing Russ' 911 up I-81. Many other photos including the group photo and awarding the Challenge Award for the most registrations in the replica categoty. Also a mentiom of Danny P's new top (smart move!) There were dditional Speedster pictures in the Carlisle event section and a mention of our Chuck Martin winning a Carlisle Elite Award for his speedster. A mention that Alan Merkin has completed 24 replica Speedsters---they left out that Alan is the probably 4th largest Speedster replica "manufacturer" in the country!

Not only all that but the "Pub Speak" editorial in the front of the magazine features a wonderful editorial about the wet fun of the average rain-challenged Speedster by Carolyn Youngs, wife of the Editor Jim Youngs and a big Speedster / Spyder supporter. The whole article is about Speedsters.

---and a lot more.

If you are not a subscriber but would like to have the article I recommend you subscribe to Kit Car News, and while your'e at it ask to receive a copy of the August issue featuring Carlilse and the Speesdsters meet Spyders event. You can call them toll-free at 866/548-2271. Jim Youngs is a great supporter of the SOC --let's support him.

The title of our article is "Family Reunion"---shows great insight into how we all feel about this gathering and about each other--nice quote about this by Bill Drayer in the article.

Got my issue this morning. Also contains a good article for all you JPS owners about John's connection with kit cars used in the movie industry and the upcoming "Fast" (Fast and Furious number what 4?).

Also good pix of Mendeola and Eyeball independent suspensions kits.

Finally received my copy. THANKS to Jim Youngs for going to 3 pages for our article and for selecting the photography. Also thanks to Cory Drake for a super job of editing the article - a big improvement over my initial writeup. Max - Another great column...and I want want you're smoking! :>) Even Norma is anxious to read the magazine these days.

One last thanks to the guys who helped and to every one who attended and - despite the rain - made it one of the best weekends yet.
