Yeah cause those dark blue seats will be soooo much cooler than black.  haha

Good catch, Lane.  I notice the tin fits on the other side of the engine.

I personally like the color combination.

Rich---you are so right about low mileage cars frequently becoming available.  There is always a sad story of disappointment that goes with such an offering---such as the car wasn't a Miata.  Or that there was no place to take it for service. (Certainly not here in Dogpatch!) Or that there were too many issues that needed fixing.

The other side of the coin is that a high mileage car will usually be totally sported---something an 800 mile one isn't---that's why it's available.  Look at Musbejim's car--some miles on it and 100% a daily driver--fully sorted with no issues.  Mine is somewhat like Jim's

30,000 miles with a new engine, all sorted and upgraded with discs all around and a plethora

of improvements.  Same for Lane's beautiful Beck, Pearl and several other rides I could mention.

A CTS with 800 miles at a bargain price is definitely a find but an 800 mile Speedster replica might not be such a prize.

---Just seems that way to me.

An 88mm crank with H beam chevy journal rods in a magnesium case is possible; with 94's it's a 2442. The case gets awfully thin on the topside though. One of the guys in DVKK (the local VW club with an emphasis on Cal lookers) has done one, and with a Webcam 86C and enough heads to make it work and IDA's it's a monster!! People have also done 90mm cranks in a stock case, but patching the top of the case with epoxy where it breaks through is a necessity. As Mango said, whoever wrote the ad probably isn't VW fluent and got it wrong.

Mango- the Great Canadian VW show is out at the Langley events center this Sunday am; I'll be looking around the swap meet fairly early. Are you going to go out there?
