He didn't even mention that it's a replica, check the guages, handbrake and heater levers as well as the type I engine with single carb.

Replica is in the description now. looks like and irs model. Wonder who built it. If everything else is good it might not be a bad buy at 8K.

Hey Dr Vince, have you seen this ride? for 8K that sounds pretty impressive. even for a 1st time buyer like myself... But what about that single carb? Would that still be considered a 1600? Paint finish isn't all that great, but for 8k you could put a few bucks into it!

The gauges are the CMC Vintage gauges that they sold with their kits - so suspect CMC owner built kit. If he's run it much with no air cleaner - look to rebuild the top-end/rings!
No doubt CMC car.

Like Wolf said, don't ever run that car without an air cleaner! Anyway, it looks like a good platform for some TLC but it's definitely a decent car for a good price.

Finest replica that money can buy indeed? And asking what the R&P ratio is doesn't seem like an odd question to me. This must not be an SOC member selling this car. It does look like a very nice car however.
I've got a CMC that I built back in the early 90's. I concur that this is also a CMC but, at the risk of picking at nits, not all of them came with white face Vintage gauges. Mine are black. I wonder if any other CMC folks (or people with Vintage gauges) have experienced the same problem I have- the speedo is completely inaccurate. Any quick fixes?
