That "Made in Germany" label looks exactly like the "Made in India" label on the old caps that I have.

Although . . . my 356 has a plate in the door jam that says "made in West Germany."

I'm making up s bunch of "Made in Germany" labels on my computer this afternoon, thinking of dumping my hub caps on Ebay next week.
Die Deutschen would never use those cheapo Americano type clips on the back. On my 914, they use black wire nuts. Everywhere on that vintage 1971 car, black wire nuts not those flat rectangular ones. Zay like zu tighten mit ein Schlussel.
