Choosing a 356 kit

I think your only real option for a wide body Speedster kit for a Beetle pan in the U.S. Is Vintage Speedsters in CA. As far as I know, JPS only sells finished vehicles.

Actual kits requiring a donor VW are becoming very hard to come by.  Flared bodies even more so limited. You can always import a 1980-90 used/unbuilt FiberFab(FF) or Classic Motor Carriages (CMC) "California" flared body.  Not as aesthetically pleasing as the newer VS wide body and ultra wide body.  I still see many without proper vehicle titles or very rusted pans that are begging for a new licence-able pan.

NOTE- Don't believe FF/CMC had right hand drive versions but removing left gauge pod or adding duplicate one to right side would not be difficult.  The fiberglass body doesn't care which side the driver is on.
