A neighbor up the street is in this business so he decided to do his entire Pickup in chrome. (It was red) It's a sort of "mylar" film and he says you can peel it off later without hurting the paint. Hmmmmm ? It's a real "eye catcher" when you see it in the sunshine !! I'm wondering how my Speedster would look ?? Cost ?...he said about $2500.00......Enjoy......Bruce

Interesting, though a little too much BLING for me.
Literally BLING. Lol
I would be worried about the paint underneath, even though he claims the paint would be OK .
it's a pretty common thing:

NASCAR has been using wraps for years...
How about good old Reynolds Wrap?? Wouldn't that work?? Holy carp . . .
Well, I'm alive and well, I've just been dealing with more bikes than cars right now. Body work has been repaired on the rear quarter of the Old Rust Bucket and re-wrapped ( can't tell ! ), as far as wrapping being common , I don't think so, it's expensive and there's a real art to it . I've been custom painting cars and bikes going on 50 years now , doing this Speedster was a BITCH , easier to paint an egg than to wrap it ! TRY IT !!! It cost close to 1800 in materials the first time and then more to fix her. No it doesn't hurt the paint if you are very careful with the razor trimming and the heat when applying and removing . I've done a couple of cars and hoods now . First off I can paint a car by myself , can't wrap one without help , LABOR COST . Still far from being a Wrap Star ! Love to all, Lee ( including GK )
Kind of Cool but it looks like your driving s a mirror.
Auto dipping is the new wrapping, some crazy stuff being done.
Personally, I don't think too much of that "chrome" but to each his own.
Good way to make your 'glass Cobra into an alloy one. At least for the first five seconds at the cars & coffee.
