About a year ago I bought 4 chrome plated hubcaps from CIP, the plating was absolute shit - they started rusting (even after four coats of wax) in about two weeks
I'd like to have my hubcaps re-chrome plated - I sent emails to five different chrome plating companies across the US and not one responded.
Can anyone recommend a good chrome plating company?

Thanks

Dave

I've heard wonderful things about these guys:

www.gravesplating.com/

Easy to deal with (shipped or drop-off), professional, straightforward and good prices. All of the Karmann Ghia guys use them for those complicated pre-72 multiple piece bumpers and LOVE the results. Check through their site for more info.

Luck,

TC
Glenn; I think it's worth it considering you won't have to replace your hubcaps ever again..just like the good ol' days.....I did the same thing with my license plate light assembly & tailight lens surrounds; you know the stuff available in our replicas is cheesy at best as compared to OEM stuff.
Dave:

I've used Nu-Chrome in Fall River Massachusetts quite a bit - bumpers, radiator cowls, door handles - all that sort of stuff. They still do double-nickle-triple-chrome (one of the very few left around to do it right) and their cost for pre-chrome-prep isn't too bad (but you get what you pay for).

They advertise in Hemming Motor News, and have a web site:
