Cicgarette lighter

I am going to install a cigarette lighter in my car and have a few ?'s. Any advise on placement, is there any wire splicing and if so , what is the best route.-Thaks-Chris

The easiest way to wire it is to run the hot side of the lighter through a newer style in line fuse, then to "Bat" terminal on the Ignition Switch,this way it is always hot and can be used w/o having to turn on the ignition switch... your choice as to where to mount it as long as it can be safely reached while driving.
