Hard to tell, although there are possibly a few clues; padding across the center of the dash, looks like the floor board on the passenger side is on an angle rather than the shape of the pan. Looks like it has the standard vw tunnel, but may be a pan base Intermec, but he does not list a year??.
The other odd thing is the front turn signals.. not sure what Henry used in the early days.

I was looking for that exposed tube framing that I've seen coming up from the pan area towards the rear, outboard of the seats and partially blocking the access through the door openings but I'm not certain that exists on every Speedster from IM. Stan, what does it look like to you?
I've been sending some text messages back and forth with the guy and he said it was built in 81 on a 68 VW pan. He is not the original owner. Claims it has an IM plaque and IM on the shift knob and that everything except the pan is "original Porsche."
