Which is better to get and use to protect one of your most prized possession; my brand spanking new Porsche Speedster thats being built as we speak by thee master builder Alan Merklin ��
Putting a "clear bra cover" or buying a "colgan bra cover" to protect the front end from chips and other things that may hurt my baby.
Or just wax the heck out of it and hope for the best.

If you're intent on putting something on the front I'd go with a clear bra. You just can't cover the beauty of the car. For me though, I just wax the heck out of my car and come what may. I can always repaint her when she gets to messed up.
I agree with Robert, wear your rock chips as a badge of pride, showing that your car is not a garage queen. However, if you want a bra go with clear.
The majority of chips come from local drives, not the occasional long trip, so you need protection 100% of the time and I'm sure you would not want a Colgan bra on permanently.
I've had a clear film bra on Pearl since around 2004. 20,000 miles on all four since then and another 18,000 on a trailer and no chips, dings or anything. That includes stones (small up to golfball size), a few sticks and one Kamikazi bird. The older versions tend to discolor very slightly darker over 15 years or so, but the newer ones are said to stay clear. It looks like this (look close - it's on there!):

What did the clear bra at the time cost you Gordon and Joe?
Used to be you had to wait 6 months or so after repainting a car with enamel or lacquer before waxing or covering it. Is that old school with new base coat/water based paints? The waiting period let the paint dry thoroughly.
